I ran the disc FIRST. Then put in the card. It can’t find my wireless router. What’s wrong? Also I had it on this laptop before but i changed the hard drive and OS (XP). I downloaded the wireless driver and i want to install this notebook card but it doesn’t see it.

You said that you upgraded the hard drive? There’s your problem! Sounds like you lost the PCMCIA driver with the upgrade.
XP is generally very good at locating all needed drivers for most any computer that’s a few months old. However, with laptops, drivers are very specifically detailed, not general like a desktop motherboard driver.
Try to locate the chipset driver for your laptop. It sounds like the driver for your PCMCIA slot isn’t working or isn’t activating the port. If you can’t find the chipset driver from the manufacturer’s website, try
They have over 60,000 drivers on their site.
You might still have the driver with the resource cd’s the manufacturer includes with the laptop, if you still have the disks.
Good luck!
