Ok so I live in the dorms and they have the ethernet cord thing, but the internet is really slow. But there’s also this campus-wide wireless that my laptop can connect too from my room, but the signal is only one bar and and there’s not much you can do with that. Is there something that i can connect to my laptop that will boost the signal from where my room is? Or does that require doing something to the campus wireless system, which is probably illegal to tamper with.
And the wireless signal is like 16 times faster, that’s why I want to be able to connect to the wireless rather than the slow ethernet cord internet that they provide here.

you should be able to plug a wireless router into the ethernet cord, and pull wireless signal right from there.
