would a signal reciever booster work and how do you connect one to a wireless laptop such as a Toshiba T2330 with 802.11 wireless built in.

if u get a quality usb wireless adapter it will have better sensitivity .. mine roughly doubled with an asus usb adapter ..

there may be a problem with the layout of the room.. usually the signal is the strongest when u are near it.. but u might want to re-arrange the room where everything is closer to the router.. or simply but a network cable and just plug and play into the router.

You could get whats called a repeater. It takes a wireless signal and repeats it in other rooms. You could buy it or if you have an old router you could possibly find a way to make the router into a repeater on google.

Use a wireless Access Point and set it to repeat the original signal. Dlinks sell good ones that are easy to use.
