Does the quality (how much I paid for it) of a wireless PCI card make a difference in connection speed?

I have a Linksys wireless-Broadband router with range booster, but not the greatest PCI cards for the rest of my computers.

Hi,

The speed of wireless is solely dependent on the wireless protocol type used (i.e, 802.11a/b/g, 802.11n, etc.) the hardware manufacturer must adhere to the speeds indicated in the protocols. If you have the choice, purchase all wireless cards from the same manufacturer as the wireless router which will ensure ultimate compatibility and speeds.
